Anti-Varroa Plastic Hive Bottom Board — Composite Perforated Base
Designed by Kipselotechniki with 40 years of experience and strength certified by Optiphore — for ease of use, durability, and time savings.

A Patent That Changes the Game
Kipselotechniki's composite plastic base is the result of forty years of experience and continuous research. It brings together pioneering innovation, unmatched durability, and multipurpose flexibility in a single, award-winning product, for both Langstroth and Dadant hives.
The perforated floor works as an anti-varroa screened bottom board: dislodged varroa mites fall through the openings and leave the colony for good, while constant natural ventilation keeps moisture — and the brood diseases that follow it — under control.
Sturdy Base & Safety Water Channel
The complete base in a rugged build. On top, a perimeter safety channel keeps water dripping from the box above out of the hive. Reinforced stoppers hold it firmly on the left, right, front and back, raised corners allow safe stacking, and sturdy legs with four feet support it just like the wooden hive — to which it attaches with adjustable connectors.
Integrated Entrances & Pollen Traps
At the entrance you can see the raised pollen traps. The base has two entrances and four built-in gates: two with 0.8×0.9cm openings admit only bees and keep their enemies out, while the other two are for transport. The internal pollen traps slot in easily from the entrances and open or close in seconds.
Pollen Collectors
Two collectors with two faces: one collects pollen, while the other — flipped over — turns the perforated base into a fully closed double floor. Debris falls into it and the interior stays clean.
Clog-Free Perforated Floor
The perforated floor's openings widen towards the underside, so they never clog with debris from inside the hive. With the pollen collectors seated in place, it ensures constant natural ventilation and protection.
Removable Trays & Flight Board
The two collector trays pull out and sit in a sealed compartment without adding any bulge to the hive. Draw them outwards for a larger flight board, while the rounded, sloped apron sheds rainwater and helps bees land smoothly.
Adjustable Ventilation 0–100%
By sliding the pollen collectors and the central insert, hive ventilation adjusts from 0% to 100% in moments. Even during transport, the central piece maintains a steady 20% airflow.
